The 10th-ranked University of Kentucky men?s tennis team (2-0) renews its rivalry with 52nd-ranked Louisville (3-1) Thursday evening at UK?s Hilary J. Boone Tennis Complex. The match is set for a 5 p.m. ET start. Live scoring will be available at www.ukathletics.com.

UK and U of L last faced off nearly a year ago in Louisville as the Cats claimed a hard-fought 4-3 triumph. The Cards captured the doubles point before the Cats rebounded with four singles wins to clinch the victory.

The match marks Kentucky?s first return to action since sweeping a doubleheader over Appalachian State and Morehead State on Jan. 22 in Lexington. The Cats had been scheduled for a match Tuesday at Notre Dame, but the match was postponed due to inclement weather. The Cards are coming off of a 6-1 loss at third-ranked Vanderbilt.

UK Coach Dennis Emery is weary of the challenge Louisville presents.

?U of L went to Vanderbilt and gave them a highly-competitive match on their home courts,? Emery said. ?I expect Louisville to challenge us in much the same way. This is always a tough match and I expect nothing different on Thursday.?

The Cats enter the match with four ranked singles players: No. 16 Jesse Witten, No. 58 Tigran Martirosyan, No. 81 Evan Austin and No. 100 Nate Emge.

A Kentucky win Thursday would result in a Wildcat sweep of the Cardinal tennis program. In its season-opening doubleheader on Jan. 18, the UK women dealt U of L a 7-0 setback.
