LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — Sherrill Baker scored 16 points and No. 12 Georgia used a key run starting at the end of the first half to coast past Kentucky 74-53 Sunday.

The Bulldogs (13-2, 2-0 SEC) scored seven straight points in less than 30 seconds at the end of the half to take a 35-23 lead. Georgia then outscored Kentucky (8-7, 0-2) 22-6 to begin the second half and put the game away.

Kara Braxton had 12 points and 13 rebounds for the Bulldogs. Christi Thomas added 14 points, Alexis Kendrick had 12 and Janese Hardrick scored 10.

Kentucky’s offense never got on track, shooting just 19-for-67 (28 percent) from the floor. SeSe Helm and Sara Potts each had 13 points to lead Kentucky.

Georgia, which has won six in a row, took its biggest lead of the game at 57-29 with 12:30 left.
