The Kentucky women’s golf team heads back into action on Friday, Oct. 24, when they travel to Destin, Fla., for the fourth annual ACC/SEC Challenge at the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. The 54-hole, three-day tournament features 12 teams, six from each conference, and eight of which are ranked in the top-40 in the country.

Freshman Marissa Muir showed her best outing of the year with an eighth place 234 three-day score. Senior Eva Gessner finished just three shots behind Muir and ended the tournament in a tie for 17th.
The Cats took 11th last season in the Challenge, as former Cat Kelly Anders shot a three-under in the first round en route to a 12th place finish. Gessner took 31st with a 16-over 229.
