The University of Kentucky is set to play host to a men’s tennis tournament for the second time in as many weekends. Next on the docket is the Charles Fluitt Invitational running from Friday, Sept. 26 through Sunday, Sept. 28 at UK’s Hilary J. Boone Tennis Complex.

Kentucky welcomes competitors from six other schools for competition in three separate brackets. Scheduled to compete are student-athletes from defending NCAA team champion Illinois, Southern Illinois, Morehead State, Eastern Kentucky, Virginia Tech, Evansville and host Kentucky. Players will be divided into “A”, “B” and “C” brackets. Play is scheduled to begin on Friday at 1 p.m. EDT, on Saturday at 8 a.m. EDT and on Sunday at 9 a.m. EDT. Match results will be posted at www.ukathletics.com after each day of competition.

The Cats are coming off a solid showing at last weekend’s Moore Invitational. Juniors Evan Austin and Jesse Witten rang up five victories collectively against top-100 opponents and newcomers Matt Allinder, Nathaniel Emge and Tigran Martirosyan registered their first victories as Wildcats.
