Due to a change in the time of kick off, to 12:30 p.m. ET, of the Kentucky versus Mississippi State football game, we have made some minor adjustments the overall schedule of our coaches clinic. We hope that this does not discourage your attendance to the clinic, because we still plan to teach, listen and learn more about the game of basketball on October 24-25. The change of schedule can be found below.

A Message from Coach Tubby Smith

Sharing ideas is the best way to continue to grow as a coach. Getting even one or two ideas to stimulate your thinking or help you improve the way you do things can make the difference in your quest for your 1st or your 10th championship season.

The annual Tubby Smith’s Kentucky Wildcats Basketball Coaches Clinic will be held October 24-25, 2003. We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to visit with my staff about our offensive and defensive systems here at Kentucky, as well as to hear from championship coaches about their winning philosophies. We have a total of 53 years of college and 33 years of high school coaching experience on our staff at Kentucky. We will share those experiences and coaching philosophies with you in clinic sessions and in Kentucky Wildcat practice sessions that you will be welcome to observe.

We’re excited to have Tom Crean, head coach of Marquette University, a 2003 NCAA Final Four team, Kelly Wells, head coach of Mason County High School, the 2003 KY State Sweet “Sixteen” Champion and others to come and share their basketball knowledge at this year’s clinic.

We hope that you will take advantage of this opportunity to talk basketball with your fellow coaches and to get to know our staff better. I look forward to seeing you on October 24th and 25th.
