The Blue/White Spring Football Game will be Sat. Apr. 26 at 1 p.m. at Commonwealth Stadium.

Admission and parking are free to everyone. Gates open at 11:30 a.m. and seating is first-come, first-served, so if you’ve always wanted to sit on the 50-yard line, this is your chance!

WLAP Radio (630 on the AM dial) will have extensive coverage of the Blue/White Game. WLAP’s broadcast will begin at noon and the station also will have a post-game show, including a call-in segment for fans.

Blue/White Game Format:

The game format will feature a change from previous years. The varsity will play all four quarters of the game. The alumni teams will play touch football during halftime of the varsity game.

The first and second quarters will be 15 minutes each. The third and fourth quarters will be 12 minutes each and could be changed to running clock at some point.

The Blue Team will be the first-team offense and defense, along with some top reserves.

The White team will be the remainder of the squad. Some players will play for both teams.

The sidelines will be split offense/defense, not Blue Team/White Team; i.e., the offense will be on one sideline and the defense on the other sideline.

Special teams will be full-contact.

The quarterback of the Blue Team will be full-contact. The QB of the White Team will wear a red jersey and be non-contact.

Renew Season Tickets at the Game: Football season-ticket renewals were mailed this week and fans may renew their tickets at the Blue/White Game. Ticket renewals will be accepted at Gates 1, 4, 9, and 12 of Commonwealth Stadium.

Season tickets also may be renewed by mail, in person at the Memorial Coliseum Ticket Office, or on-line at ukathletics.com beginning Apr. 25. Tickets may not be renewed over the phone.

No Practice on Friday: The team will not practice on Fri. Apr. 25; that practice was moved to Mon. Apr. 21.
