LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky track and field team will travel to Knoxville, Tenn., this weekend, April 11-12, to compete in the 37th annual Sea Ray Relays at the Tom Black Track on the University of Tennessee campus. The meet features more than 1,500 men’s and women’s athletes from 114 schools and club teams.

Last weekend, UK senior triple jumper Simidele Adeagbo set a new school record in the event with a jump of 44-05.00. She broke her own record at the Texas Relays in Austin.

The Tom Black Track at UT seats 7,500 and is an eight-lane, Olympic-style track with a Rekortan-style surface. The top layer of the track was refurbished this winter and the Sea Ray Relays are the first event since the renovation.

Kentucky begins action at 12:15 p.m. on Friday with the women’s discus. The Cats open competition at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday with the men’s long jump.
