The University of Kentucky men’s swimming and diving teams finished the first day of NCAA Competition on Thursday, March 27, at the Texas’ Jamail Swimming Center. Senior All-American Clayton Moss completed his one-meter springboard career with a third-place finish in the finals with a score of 355.00, earning him his third-straight All-America selection in that event. Moss will compete in the three-meter springboard event on Friday, seeking his fourth straight All-America selection in that event.
For the swimmers, the highlight came in the200-free relay with senior Roger Watkins, junior Fernando Barros and freshmen Daniel Farnham and Steven Manley finishing 13th with a time of 1:19.53. Sophomore Daniel Cruz joined Watkins, Barros and Farnham in finishing 15th in the 400-medley relay.
