Auburn, Ala. – The University of Kentucky men’s and women’s diving teams completed the second round of NCAA Zone B qualifying at Auburn’s James E. Martin Aquatics Center on Saturday, March 15.

Senior All-American Clayton Moss continued his quest for a National Championship, winning the qualifying round of the men’s three-meter event with a score of 664.55. His closest challenger was Tennessee’s Phil Jones who finished with a 593.05. Moss won three-meter All-America honors after the 2000 and 2002 NCAA Championships.

For the women, freshman Jessica Thompson (248.50), junior Michelle Brown (247.05) and senior Kelli Frost (244.65), finished 20th, 21st and 22nd respectively. Competitors must finish in the top five to qualify for the NCAA Championship meet.

Round three of qualifying begins at 10 a.m. CT, on Sunday, March 16, with the women’s platform competition. The men’s platform will begin at approximately 12:30 p.m. CT.
