The University of Kentucky Rifle Cats are hitting the road this weekend for their final regular season match. Kentucky will take on conference-rival Jacksonville State at 8 a.m. CST Saturday in Jacksonville, Ala. The meet marks Kentucky’s first conference match since a victory last month over Xavier in Lexington.

UK (5-5, 2-2 GARC) is coming off of a strong showing last weekend at the NCAA Sectional in Murray, Ky. where the Rifle Cats took first place overall. In registering the third-highest aggregate score in the country, Kentucky all but assured themselves of a berth in the NCAA Rifle Championships next month at the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, N.Y. The NCAA will announce the championship qualifiers on Monday, Feb. 24.

Next weekend, Kentucky will participate in the Great American Rifle Conference Championships on the campus of Xavier University.
