The University of Kentucky women’s tennis team begins the dual-match season on Saturday, Jan. 25 at Marshall in Huntington, W. Va. The Cats will play two matches on Saturday, facing Virginia at 10 a.m. ET followed by Marshall at 5 p.m. ET.
“I’m very excited about the goals this team has set,” Coach Mark Guilbeau said. “If this team plays the way they’re capable, we should have a terrific season.”
UK finished 18-9 overall, 6-7 in the Southeastern Conference last season. Six players return, including All-American Sarah Witten and seniors Amy Trefethen and Jill Buckley. Freshmen Nathalie Roels and Shannon Stough look to make an impact in their first collegiate season.
