Revised SEC Challenge Schedule
The University of Kentucky will continue the 2003 indoor track & field season with the SEC Challenge on Saturday, Jan. 25 at the Nutter Field House in Lexington, Ky. The meet features seven other Southeastern Conference schools, including all five of UK’s Eastern Division brethren.
The field consists of Alabama’s women’s team, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee and the Vanderbilt women’s team. Events begin at 7:40 a.m. on Saturday with the women’s 5,000 meters and wrap up with the men’s 1,600-meter relay at 5:50 p.m.
Kentucky opened the indoor season with last week’s Kentucky Invitational in Lexington. Senior Simidele Adeagbo automatically qualified for nationals in the triple jump with her jump of 43-01.75, while the men’s 4 x 800-meter relay team beat a 13-year-old school record to close the event.
