BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The University of Kentucky cross country teams wrapped up competition in the Western Kentucky Old Timers Classic in Bowling Green, Ky., on Saturday, Sept. 21. Sophomore David Freeman took second-place honors for the men, while Caitlin Phillips finished fourth for the women.

Phillips finished the race with a time of 17:38.58 and Freeman’s time was 25:26.29. No team scoring was done at the meet.

A total of six women ran for Kentucky while there were five men running for the Wildcats. Brooke Patterson finished fifth, while Mary Katherine Thompson took sixth. Justin Amason was ninth for the men, while Kevin O’Connor took 10th.

The Wildcats return to action on Saturday, Oct. 5, when they travel to Gainesville, Fla., for the Gator Classic.
