LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky men’s and women’s cross country teams will return to competition on Saturday, Sept. 21, after a three-week break, when the Wildcats travel to Bowling Green, Ky., for the Western Kentucky Old Timers Classic. Also competing is host WKU, Eastern Kentucky, Middle Tennessee State and the WKU Alumni group.
The women will run a 5K race beginning at 11 a.m. ET, while the men will run a five-mile leg starting at 11:45 a.m. Both races will be run at Kereiakes Park in Bowling Green.
The Wildcats opened the season on Aug. 30 with the Woodford Trials in Versailles, Ky. UK won the women’s race, while the men finished second. Freshman Allison Grace was third for the women, while sophomore David Freeman took second for the men.
