The University of Kentucky Cheerleading Program has organized a clinic to help you prepare for college cheerleading tryouts. This clinic has been developed to help individuals who plan to make the transition from high school to college cheerleading. At this clinic, you will get help with coed stunt techniques, tumbling, baskets, and interview skills.

We believe that you will benefit from this clinic if you are interested in trying out as a college cheerleader anywhere across the nation. The techniques and skills that we will help you develop will give you a big head start over your competitors.

At this clinic, you can expect to be taught by former and current members of the Twelve-Time National Champion University of Kentucky Cheerleaders in a low-pressure, safe, and fun environment.

Saleem Habash, head coach of the past six National Champion squads along with T. Lynn Williamson who has advised and developed this program for the past 24 years, will help with advice and answer any questions or concerns that you might have about the tryout procedure.

The clinic will be held October 5-6, 2002 from 12:00 Noon to 5:00 P.M. on Saturday and from 10:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. on Sunday at the Seaton Center Gymnastics Room. Lunch will be provided there on Sunday. Attached are a registration form, an application, and a release form. The cost of the clinic is $90.00. The application will be used to help us evaluate each individual and separate you into groups by skill level in order to better benefit you at the clinic. All materials must be completed and returned with some proof of medical insurance along with the clinic fee bySeptember 30, 2002.

This clinic is recommended for anyone planning to try out as a college cheerleader, but if you plan to try out at the University of Kentucky we highly suggest you attend.

FROM I-64 OR I-75 SOUTH:

Follow I-64 or I-75 South to Exit 113 (marked Paris/Lexington). Turn right off the exit ramp onto North Broadway (US 68). Follow through downtown for 3 ? miles. One block past the Hyatt Regency Hotel, turn left at the light onto Maxwell Street. At the 5th light, turn right onto Rose Street. You will pass through three lights. After the third light turn left on Huguelet Street. At the stop sign, make a right on University Drive. Turn left at the first road, which is Complex Drive. The dorms are on your left. Seaton Center and Aquatic center are on your right.

FROM BLUEGRASS PARKWAY:

Follow the Bluegrass Parkway to Lexington. Turn right off the ramp onto Route 60 (Versailles Road). Follow until it becomes a one-way street, West Maxwell. At the 6th light, turn right onto Rose Street. You will pass through three lights. After the third light turn left on Huguelet Street. At the stop sign, make a right on University Drive. Turn left at the first road, which is Complex Drive. The dorms are on your left. Seaton Center and Aquatic center are on your right.

FROM I-75 NORTH:

Follow I-75 North to Exit 104 (marked Athens/Lexington). Turn left off of the ramp onto Athens-Boonesboro Road. Follow for 8.2 miles to downtown. Turn left on Rose Street. You will pass through six lights. After the sixth light turn left on Huguelet Street. At the stop sign, make a right on University Drive. Turn left at the first road, which is Complex Drive. The dorms are on your left. Seaton Center and Aquatic center are on your right.
