LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky diving team has added Mario Rodriguez to its roster, UK Diving Coach Mike Lyden announced on Monday.

Rodriguez, a Mexico national champion seven consecutive times, graduated from Tucson (Ariz.) High School in May 2001 where he dove for Win Young and the Tucson Diving Team.

A native of Mexico City, Rodriguez also was a Junior CentroAmerican Champion.

Rodriguez has already joined the team and will be eligible to compete with the Wildcats this Saturday, Jan. 19, when UK plays host to Arkansas and South Carolina at noon at the Lancaster Aquatic Center.
