The University of Kentucky Cheerleading squad won its 12th overall Universal Cheerleading Association Championship on Jan. 12 at Disney’s Wide World of Sports in Orlando, Fla. The championship is the squad’s eighth in a row.

The cheerleaders, who beat out runner-up University of Central Florida, performed their winning routine on ABC’s Good Morning America on Monday. They will travel back to Lexington today, arriving at the Bluegrass Airport at 7:30 p.m.

There will be a trophy presentation for the team at the men’s basketball game on Tuesday, Jan. 14 when the Wildcats face Ole Miss.
