Today’s win marks the 1,800th victory in school history, the first collegiate basketball team to achieve that mark.

For North Carolina, forward Jason Capel had 11 points and a game-high 12 rebounds, the second double-double of the season and the 13th of his career.
Kentucky held North Carolina to 36.2 percent from the field and 22.7% three-point shooting, a season low by a UK opponent from beyond the arc. The effort marked the fourth time in six games a UK opponent has failed to top 40% shooting from the field.
Kentucky takes a week off for exams and returns to action Sat. Dec. 15 at 1 p.m. vs. Kentucky State in Rupp Arena. The game will be televised live by the UKTV Network.
