Lexington, KY – The Kentucky women’s basketball team travels to Chapel Hill, N.C., for the first time in 23 years to take on the 24th-ranked Tar Heels of North Carolina on Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 6:30 p.m. ET. WLXG-AM Sport Radio 1300 will carry the game live with play-by-play announcer Chris Cross.

The Cats (2-1) are hoping to get back on the winning track after falling to Memphis on Saturday in the championship game of the 17th annual Lady Tiger Classic. Sophomore center SeSe Helm and junior guard Rita Adams were named to the All-Tournament team after leading the Cats to second place.

“We had way too many turnovers in our last game,” UK Coach Bernadette Mattox said. “We panicked, forced passes and made poor decisions. Having to rebound with a good team like North Carolina is a great experience for this team and can only make us better during our tough conference play.”

Helm leads the team in scoring and rebounding with 19.0 points and 7.7 rebounds per game while Adams tops almost every other statistical category: assists (14), blocks (4), steals (15) and field goal percentage (65.6).
