LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky softball team will take a short break from fall individual workouts as the team takes time to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday. UK, which signed three recruits last week, has been working hard this off season in preparation for the 2002 campaign, which begins Feb. 1 at the Florida International Tournament in Miami, Fla., against SEC foe Georgia.

“We want to wish all of the UK softball family and friends a happy Thanksgiving,” UK Coach Beth Kirchner said. “We are very thankful for all of their support over the past five years and hope to bring them another exciting year this upcoming season.”
