Lexington, Ky. – The Kentucky women’s basketball team will play host to the Premier All-Stars on Saturday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. in its final exhibition game in Memorial Coliseum. Admission if free.
The Cats defeated Den Helder (Holland) on Monday, Nov. 5, 77-45, in their first test of the season, shooting 52.5 percent from the floor and nailing seven three-pointers. Sophomore center SeSe Helm led four players in double digits scoring 15 points on 7-of-8 shooting. Sophomore forward Stephanie Stoglin followed in the scoring column with 12 points while freshman guard Sara Potts and sophomore guard Danyelle Payne notched 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Kentucky is 2-0 versus the Premier All-Stars in all-time exhibition play, taking a 92-75 victory last season and a 99-78 win in 1999. The All-Stars, led by former Ohio State player and Kodak Honorable mention All-American Lisa Cline, come to Lexington after a 78-68 loss to Penn State on Wednesday.
UK will open its regular season on Saturday, Nov. 17 at 7 p.m. against Temple in Memorial Coliseum.
