The University of Kentucky women’s golf team tallied a fourth-place finish among 14 teams at the Pine Needles Invitational on Tuesday, Nov. 6. The Lady Kats finished just 15 strokes back with a team score of 618 for the two-day tournament.

Junior Kelly Anders scored an impressive 151 to lead the Kats and finish only six shots out of first with an eighth-place finish. Other UK scores included Kristen Pepe with a 154, Rachel Lester with a 156, Eva Gessner with a 161 and Towa Okiyama with a 164.

The tournament wrapped up the fall season for the Lady Kats. The team will kickoff its spring schedule on Feb. 22-24, when it heads to Gainesville, Fla., for the Lady Gator Invitational.
