– KNOXVILLE, Tenn.– Gustav Pousette, a senior on the University of Kentucky men’s tennis team, dropped his match in the round of 16 at the Omni Hotel Southern Men’s Region III Championships.

Pousette saw action against Paul Ciorasco of Ole Miss in the singles. Ciorasco overpowered Pousette in the opening sets for a quick 5-4, 6-5 victory. Pousette had received in the first round of the tournament and saw winning action against Tennessee’s Andy Crews and UAB’s Andre Van der Merwe.

Pousette and the other Wildcats will take a break from tournament action to prepare for the upcoming spring season.
