The University of Kentucky men’s golf team finished 15th at the Xavier Provident Invitational in Cincinnati, Ohio on Tuesday, Oct. 9. The Wildcats finished the three-round tournament with a team score of 884.
Senior Ryan Coyne and junior Andy Dustman, who finished in a tie for 33rd place with their individual scores of 220, led the Cats. Erik Herberth of Ohio University walked away with medalist honors. Herberth’s three-round total tallied 202.
The team title went to intrastate rival Western Kentucky. The Hilltoppers used a second round team score of 276 to take the championship.
The Wildcats will be back in action on Oct. 15-16, when they travel to Tampa, Fla. to compete in the Gary Koch/ Cleveland Golf Classic.
