“Carolina is a very deserving recipient of the Tennis Magazine/ITA Arthur Ashe, Jr. Leadership and Sportsmanship Award. This award directly reflects the quality of person that Carolina is. She always displays the highest level of character, class and caring, both on and off the court. I am very happy for her. It is exciting to see her being recognized and rewarded for all of her efforts and contributions as a student-athlete at UK.

“I am also very proud and honored for our entire women’s tennis program. I believe strongly that this type of award reflects the overall quality and class of the UK program. We have been very fortunate to have consistently had the conscientious, caring and dedicated student-athletes. I am proud of the tradition we have established at the University of Kentucky.
