Blue/White Game Saturday The annual Blue/White Spring Game will beheld Saturday, April 21, at 4 p.m. at Rawlings Stadium at GeorgetownCollege. The game is being played in Georgetown because of therenovation of the playing surface at Commonwealth Stadium.For the fifth straight year, the Blue/White Game will open with the UKfootball alumni playing the first quarter. The score will remain on theboard when the Wildcat varsity takes the field in the second quarter. The varsity will play the final three quarters.

Joyce, Prince to Coach the Alumni Former Wildcats Marty Joyceand Joe Prince will be the coaches for the alumni teams that will playthe first quarter of the Blue/White Spring Game. Joyce was atwo-year letterman at defensive tackle in 1967-68 under Coach CharlieBradshaw. Prince was a four-year letterman, 1983-86, under CoachJerry Claiborne and was an offensive lineman on the 1983 and 1984Wildcat teams that played in the Hall of Fame Bowl.

Get Your Tickets, Support the UK Band Tickets for the Blue/WhiteSpring Game are $10 each and may be purchased in advance at theMemorial Coliseum ticket office. Tickets also may be purchasedSaturday at the stadium. UK students will be admitted free with validstudent ID. Proceeds from the Blue/White Spring Game benefit theUK Marching Band.

Land on Free Parking Parking for automobiles at Georgetown’sRawlings Stadium will be free of charge and is first come, first served. Recreational vehicles (RVs) have a designated lot next to theGeorgetown baseball stadium.

Radio Broadcast The UK broadcast team of Tom Leach and Jeff VanNote will call the action of the Blue/White Spring Game. The game willbe carried by Lexington radio station WLAP, located at 630 on the AMdial. The broadcast begins at 3 p.m.

Spring Practice Schedule: Practices will be held at the Nutter Training Center.
Wed. April 18 at 2 p.m.
Fri. April 20 at 2 p.m.
Sat. April 21 – Blue/White Spring Game, 4 p.m. at Georgetown College

Ledford to Receive Lindsey Nelson Award: Cawood Ledford, the radio play-by-play voice of the Kentucky football andmen’s basketball teams from 1953-92, will receive the Lindsey Nelson Award, presented annually to an outstanding collegiatebroadcaster who has promoted or advanced the game of college football.

The award is given annually by the Knoxville Quarterback Club and will be presented at the annual awards banquet of the EastTennessee Chapter of the National Football Foundation and Hall of Fame on Saturday, April 21, in Knoxville.
