The 27th-ranked University of Kentucky men’s tennis team will close out its 2001 regular-season schedulethis weekend as it plays host to three matches at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Complex on UK’s campus.

On Friday, April 13, the Cats play host to a doubleheader as they take on Morehead State at 2 p.m., and theColonels of Eastern Kentucky at 7 p.m. On Sunday, April 15, UK closes out the regular season againstSoutheastern Conference-foe Arkansas at 1 p.m. The match is Senior Day for Kentucky’s lone senior EdoBawono, who has enjoyed a stellar senior season and leads that Cats at the No. 1 singles position. “This weekend is really important for us going into the SEC Championships next week,” Head Coach DennisEmery said. “We are looking to get some solid wins under our belt heading into postseason play.”
