Kentucky junior forward Tayshaun Prince continues to add to his list of awards as he has been named third-team All-Americaby the National Association of Basketball Coaches.
This is Prince’s third All-America honor of the year. He was chosen second-team All-America by The Associated Press andthe United States Basketball Writers Association. In addition, Prince was the Southeastern Conference Player of the Year by theAP and SEC Coaches. He also was Most Valuable Player of the SEC Tournament last week.
Prince showed his value in Thursday’s first-round game of the NCAA Tournament. He scored 27 points, including severalcrucial shots down the stretch, as the Wildcats outlasted Holy Cross, 72-68. Including today’s game, Prince is averaging 16.8points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game.
