TUSCALOOSA, Ala. The University of Kentucky swimming and diving teams will take part in the Southeastern Conference Championship meet Wednesday, Feb. 21, through Saturday, Feb. 24. The women ended the season 6-2 overall and 3-1 in the conference while the men concluded the season with a 5-2 record overall and a 1-1 conference record.
The 200 medley and the 800 freestyle relays are the only swimming events on the first day of the meet, and the individual events will begin on Thursday.
The women finished the regular season ranked fourth in the SEC in the 800 freestyle relay and fifth in the 200 medley relay. The men completed the regular season at No.5 in the SEC in the 800 freestyle relay and No. 6 in the 200 medley relay.
For the divers, the first day of the meet will include the mens one-meter and the womens three-meter. In the SEC for the mens one-meter (dual), Clayton Moss ended the regular season ranked third, while Aaron Kirkpatrick finished at No. 6. On the womens side, in the three-meter (championship), Carrie Knoeber finished the regular season ranked fourth and Kelli Frost finished at No.6 in the SEC.
