The University of Kentucky women’s golf team will wrap up its fall schedule Nov. 6-8, when it travels toSouthern Pines, N.C., to participate in the Pine Needles Women’s Collegiate Championships. The event, which is hosted by Rollins College, will be played on the Pine Needles Golf Course.
The event features 12 teams, including intra-state rival Louisville and Southeastern Conference-foeAlabama. The Wildcats haven’t been on the course since Oct. 22, when they wrapped up action in theLady Paladin Tournament.
“We’re really hoping to wrap up the fall season on a positive note,” Coach Bettie Lou Evans said. “Wehave had some strong performances in the fall, but haven’t really gotten the results we were hoping for. Agood showing this weekend would give us a motivating way to end the fall slate.”
Action gets underway Monday, Oct. 6, with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
