Swimming & Diving

The University of Kentucky men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams will travel to Bloomington, Ind. to face Indiana on Friday, Nov. 3, at 6 p.m. at the Counsilman and Billingsley Center.

The teams last competed in the Southeastern Conference East competition where they defeated the University of South Carolina. Men’s swimmer Macon White took the 200 freestyle, narrowly missing the NCAA “B” cut and finished second in the 500 freestyle. Shaun Zitani and Aaron Workman swam strong as well, finishing second in the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle, respectively.

Diver Clayton Moss took first in the three-meter.

The women were lead by co-captains Melissa Olson and Jaime Siegele.

Olson placed third in the 200 Individual Medley and fourth in the 200 backstroke. Siegele took third in the 50 freestyle and fourth in the 100 freestyle.

Indiana’s women’s swimming and diving teams are coming off a win over Illinois. The squad won ten events in the win, while Indiana diver Jennifer Sonneborn won the one- and three-meter events.
