The University of Kentucky women’s tennis doubles team of Leigh Bradwell and Shannon Stafford fell in the finals of the 3rd Flight at the June Stewart Invitational on the campus of Vanderbilt University on Saturday, Oct. 28. The duo was defeated 8-4 by Marina Piriou and Shannon Duffy of Northwestern.

Bradwell and Stafford also both fell in singles competition on Saturday in the 2nd Flight of the tournament.Both Tennis Cats will be back in action on Sunday in consolation bracket competition. Stafford will take onMonika Schmid of Alabama-Birmingham, while Bradwell will battle Mable Abraham of Georgia State. Bothmatches are set to begin at 9 a.m.
