GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Kentucky volleyball team will square off against the 10th ranked Florida Gators Sunday, Oct. 29 at 2 p.m. at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center.
UK (4-17, 2-8 SEC) dropped a 3-0 decision to Georgia Friday night. Kristen Batt and Megan Weiskircher led a balanced UK attack against the Lady Bulldogs. The duo continued their excellent play combining for 27 kills and 15 digs.
Kentucky players will be playing in front of their biggest crowd of the season on Sunday. The Gators usually draw between 1,500 and 2,000 people for each home match.
“Florida is a great team and they play their matches in a great volleyball environment,” said Coach Jona Braden. “It should be a really exciting for our players.”
UF (18-3, 10-0 SEC) is coming off a Friday night sweep of Tennessee. The Gators took this season’s earlier match-up with the Cats (15-3, 15-5, 15-11) on October 13.
