Women's Soccer

The 16th-ranked University of Kentucky women’s soccer team was defeated, 1-0, by the Georgia Bulldogs Friday, Oct. 13, at the Georgia Women’s Soccer Stadium. Georgia improves to 2-4-1 in the series.

Georgia’s (8-5-2, 3-1-1 SEC) only goal came unassisted in the fifth minute by Nicole Greathead.

This is the second game for Kentucky (11-3, 4-2 SEC) in which it has not scored a point. The Wildcats were led in shots by Kara McCue, with three, while Susie Ledzianowski and Jen Wilkinson each chipped in with one. Goalkeeper Beth Wells posted four saves, combining with the defense to hold the Bulldogs to only eight shots and one goal.

The Cats will face Tennesse on Sunday, Oct. 15, at 2 p.m. at the Tennessee Soccer Complex.
