WR Dougie Allen |
QB Jared Lorenzen |
Linebacker Marlon McCree:
“I don’t expect anything less than the Orange Bowl, Sugar Bowl, some type of BCS championship. We are a great team offensively and defensively. We are ready to get suited up and go out and play football. I think when people see us September 2, they are going to be very impressed with the team they see.”
Wide Receiver Dougie Allen:
“I think we are going to have a pretty good team. We are going to make a lot more big plays than we did last year, and I think that is what is going to be the difference. Jared (Lorenzen) is a really good quarterback and he is going to lead this team far.”
Quarterback Jared Lorenzen:
“I am going out and throwing two or three hundred balls every other day and I am always running. The weight coaches have done great with that, keeping me running to get quick feet. I am looking forward to the first game, and I think it will help a lot to get that experience. Louisville will be my first game and I know that I need to go out and get hit, just calm down my nerves a little bit.”
DE Dennis Johnson |
RB Derek Homer |
Defensive End Dennis Johnson:
“The team talks about expectations, but from my experience, the only way you know is when you go out and play on Saturday. We have to go out and prepare in practice for each game and in the game, show what we truly can do. As for me, even though I can talk about gaining weight and getting stronger, I just want to go out there and produce on Saturdays, and I am definitely confident that I can do that this year.”
Running Back Derek Homer:
“My expectation for the year is to go out and have fun and do what I think I am capable of doing – namely, showcasing my abilities, helping the team win games, and try to help the team go to a bowl game. We want to accomplish our goals and have a lot of fun while doing so.”
