The No. 2 University of Kentucky rifle team, led by All-American cnadidateMary Elsass, outshot Ohio State 4632-4398 in the team small bore and1531-1476 in the team air rifle to defeat Ohio State 6163-5874 Saturday inLexington.

For the second straight match, sophomore Mary Elsass took top individualhonors in both the air rifle and the small bore with a 389 and 1173,respectively.

“Overall, our team shot really well today.” UK rifle coach Harry Mullins said.”Everyone really stepped up and held their own.”

Kentucky took four of the top five spots in both the air rifle and small bore torun its record to 2-0 on the season.
