Bill Curry is going up with a bang as the new-attitude Wildcatsput it to their third straight SEC opponent.
Billy Jack Haskins threw for two touchdowns and Derick Logan ranfor 132 yards as Kentucky routed Vanderbilt, 25-0, in aSoutheastern Conference game.
The Wildcats (4-6, 3-4 SEC East) won their third straight gamesince Coach Bill Curry announced he would resign at the end ofthe season on October 21st. Kentucky pitched its second shutoutof the season, the first time it has recorded two shutouts in aseason since 1993 when it blanked Kent and Mississippi.
The Wildcats edged Indiana, 3-0, on September 21.
Haskins opened the scoring with a 57-yard pass to Craig Yeast6:04 in the contest. The Wildcats extended the lead to 14-0 on atwo-yard run by Lee Wesley a minute and a half into the secondquarter. After a safety in the third quarter,
Haskins hooked up with Isaac Curtis on a three-yard pass with3:42 to play, and Brian Johnson capped the scoring with a37-yard field goal with 1:17 remaining.
Vanderbilt (2-8, 0-7 East), which had lost to Florida, 28-21,last week, was shut out for the third time this season and heldwithout a touchdown for the fourth time in 10 games.
Haskins completed 17-of-30 passes for 217 yards. The Commodoreswere held to 91 yards of total offense.
