KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The University of Kentucky women’s tennis team fell to Tennessee, 7-2, on Saturday afternoon. The Cats record is now 10-8.

In singles action, the Cats won two of the matches. No. 67 Brooke Skeen defeated Agnes Wiski in straight sets, though the second was forced to a tiebreaker. Also winning for the Cats was Lauren Rookledge. Rookledge dropped the first set, but managed to come back to defeat Candy Reid, 6-7(7), 6-3, 6-3.

In the doubles matches, Skeen and Leigh Bradwell nearly beat Reid and Wiski, as they forced the match to a tiebreaker, 9-8(7).

The Cats will travel to Middle Tennessee State on Sunday to play the Blue Raiders at 2 p.m. The team’s next home action is on April 8, when they will take on the Georgia Bulldogs.
