LEXINGTON, Kty. – The University of Kentucky softball team will travel to Athens, Ga., toface the Georgia Bulldogs on Friday, March 30. The first game of thedoubleheader is set for 5 p.m., while the second game is slated for 7 p.m.Saturday’s doubleheader is set to begin at 1 p.m.

“We’re excited about continuing conference play this weekend,” UK coachBeth Kirchner said. “We opened well against Auburn and Alabama. We havedeveloped a little bit of a rivalry with Georgia, so everybody should beready to play.”

UK (18-16, 2-2 SEC) is coming off a two-game split with Louisville onWednesday evening at the UK Softball Complex. The Cats captured game two,3-0, but fell to the Cards in the first game, 2-0.

Last season in Lexington, Ky., UGA (18-19, 2-6) captured the four-gameseries, winning the last three games after the Cats won the first game, 3-2.
