Wildcat Shevan Threats finishes fourth in the long jump.

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (April 27, 2000) — Junior Shevan Threats gavethe University of Kentucky a good start at the PennRelays on Thursday with a fourth-place finish in thecollege women’s long jump.

Threats’ leap of 19-02.00 was only four inches behindthird place and was her second-best leap of theseason.

In the college women’s javelin throw, senior BethBurkett took 11th place with a heave of 134-04.00.

The Cats return to action Friday, April 28, as themen’s distance medley relay team takes the track,along with the women’s sprint medley and4x200-meter teams. In the field, the women’s triplejump gets everything started at 10 a.m.
