Swimming & diving squad pulls out big marks on final day ofAuburn Last Chance Invite.

AUBURN, Ala. (Feb. 27, 2000) — The UK men’s and women’sswimming and diving teams swam seven NCAAprovisional cuts on the second day of the AuburnLast Chance Invitational led by freshman EddieClement who broke his own school record, set lastweek at the Southeastern Conference Swimming &Diving Championships. Clement’s time of 1:48.05met the NCAA “B” cut and is a half second fasterthan his time from last weekend.

Carolyn Rader and Annabel Kosten each met theNCAA “B” cut in the 200 freestyle. Rader finishedfirst with a time of 1:48.64, while Kosten swam apersonal best with a time of 1:48.77.

Sophomore Debra Hinsley finished fourth in the200 butterfly with a time of 2:02.46, meeting theNCAA provisional time standard. In a 100breaststroke time trial, freshman Roger Watkinsswam a blistering time of 56.13, his first NCAA “B”cut.
