LEXINGTON, Kty. – The Kentucky men’s tennis team won its first SEC match of the season against Arkansas, 5-2. Carlos Drada, No. 11 in the nation, earned his first win of the dual match season, beating Henrik Tofft in three sets, 5-7, 6-2, 6-4, at the No. 2 position. The Cats are now 3-2 (1-0 SEC).

The Cats won two of the three doubles matches with the No. 1 match being suspended after Kentucky won the point.

In singles action, Kentucky won four of the six matches. Playing at the No. 1 position, Kentucky’s Johan Hesoun, ranked No. 45 nationally, fell to No. 9 Oskar Johansson in two straight sets, 7-6, 6-2. The Cats only other loss came at the No. 6 position when UK’s Reven Stephens lost to Eduardo Pacheco, 7-6, 2-6, 10-6.

The Cats will see their next action when the face #8 UCLA on Feb. 22 in Louisville, Ky.
