Roshell Russell has third place finishes in 200 and 400-meter dashes.
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 30, 2000) — The University of Kentucky track and field squad completed competitionthis weekend with four events at the Boston University Terrier Classic.
Roshell Russell had the top showing of the day for the Cats with her thirdplace finishes in both the 200-meter and 400-meter dashes. Her time of56.76 in the 400M was less than half a second off the No. 2 finisher’s time.
In the 800-meter run, Marie Patton clocked a season-best time of 2:17.89,nearly 1.7 seconds faster than her previous top mark this year.
The men also wrapped up competition with the distance medley relaycrossing the finish line in 9:55.06, good for eighth place.
After splitting up for competition at Boston U. and Air Force this pastweekend, the squad comes back together to host the Rod McCravy Memorial onFeb. 4-5. Competition will be held at the Nutter Fieldhouse on the campusof the University of Kentucky.
