LEXINGTON, Ky. – The 24th-ranked University of Kentucky women’s soccer team will travel toNashville, Tenn., on Sunday to face SEC-rival Vanderbilt. The match at theVanderbilt Soccer Field will begin at 1 p.m. (EST).

UK (9-2-1, 3-1 SEC) won its eighth straight game on Friday night, settinga new school record for consecutive wins as the Cats defeated Cincinnati inthe Queen City, 1-0. The Cats are currently tied for second place in theSEC Eastern Division.

“Our kids are going to have to be ready to play with a high level ofintensity early in the match,” UK coach Warren Lipka said. “Vandy is atough place to play and they are going to be fired up to play us. Our gameswith Vandy are always a battle.”

Vanderbilt (4-8, 2-2) leads the all-time series against UK, 10-3, with theCommodores winning the last meeting, 3-2 last season in Lexington.
