LEXINGTON, Kty. – Senior defensive tackle Gordon Crowe, who missedpractices on Tuesday and Wednesday for personal reasons, returned to thepractice field on Thursday.
Coach Hal Mumme said that Crowe was back “with a smile on hisface.” Mumme also noted that Crowe might be allowed to play inSaturday’s game at Indiana. Ordinarily, the coaches do not permit aplayer to compete on Saturday if he missed practice on Wednesday.However, Mumme said that an exception might be made in this case becauseof the unusual circumstances.
Crowe has been starting at defensive tackle but made just onetackle this season. It was announced on Monday that senior Jimmy Haleywill start in Crowe’s place for the Indiana game.
