Long Practice on Saturday: The Kentucky football team held itslongest practice of the preseason with a two and one-half hour workoutSaturday afternoon at the Nutter Training Center.

On sophomore left tackle Matt Brown: “Matt’s technique is as good asanybody. He’s very intense about everything he does. He’s workedhimself into being a good player.”
On freshman left guard Kip Sixbery: “Kip has to become moreconsistent. He’s still learning the offense, the techniques, and thepace he has to play. He hasn’t been intimidated by the older guys.”
On sophomore center Nolan DeVaughn: “Nolan is going to be as effectiveas Jason Watts (last year’s starter). Nolan is a very goodtechnician.”
On sophomore right guard Josh Parrish: “I’m excited about Josh’sprogress. He has become very powerful. He is a classic example of aguy who has worked himself into becoming a player.”
On junior right tackle Omar Smith: “Omar is playing well right now, aswell as Kris Comstock (last year’s starter) did for us last year.”
