Game Time Change for Blue/White Spring Game

The starting time for the Blue/White Spring Football Game on Saturday, April 25, has been changed to 2 p.m.

“Frankly, we misunderstood the ending date for Keeneland, thinking that the last racing day conflicted with the Blue/White Game,” said C. M. Newton, UK Director of Athletics. “When we realized that Keeneland finishes the day before (Friday the 24th), we decided to change the football game to the daytime.

“This follows the policy that we use during the fall in terms of playing during the day except when we conflict with Keeneland. It suits our coaches and players to play during the day. We have a chance of nicer weather during the afternoon and that’s a plus for the fans. It also will encourage our fans to attend the baseball game immediately after the Blue/White Game.”
