CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The 23rd-ranked University of Kentucky women’s tennisteam upped its record to 6-0 on Friday, topping the host North CarolinaTar Heels, 5-4, in dual match competition.

Massoumeh Emami, Christy Sigurski, Kelly Brown and Brooke Skeen picked upsingles wins for the Cats, and Skeen teamed with Carolina Mayorga to clinchthe match with a doubles win.

The Cats quickly pounced on the No. 54 Tarheels (2-1), clinching the match5-2 before dropping the final two doubles contests.

The Cats continue their Carolina road trip on Sunday, when they travel toColumbia to face the South Carolina Gamecocks at 1 p.m.
