Kentucky will battle Louisville Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Cliff Hagan Stadium on the UK campus. Scott Padgett, a member of the 1998 national champion menis basketball squad, will throw out the first pitch at approximately 5:58 p.m.

UK (22-27) lost two of three to 13th-ranked Auburn last weekend on the road. The Wildcats have won their last three non-conference games. Junior Josh Loggins and senior David Cheatle lead the Wildcats with a .358 batting average. Loggins leads the team with 53 RBIs and is tied with senior Andy Bendix with 11 home runs.Sophomore right-hander Ben Shaffar (1-1) will make his second start of the season for the Wildcats. Shaffar leads the team with 22 appearances.

The two teams were scheduled to play April 29 in Cardinal Stadium, but the game was rained out. UK split with Louisville in its annual two games last year. The Wildcats lost 8-7 in Louisville, but came back to win 13-11 at home. UK leads the overall series 49-26-1. Louisville (25-22) is led by James McCauley, who is hitting .380 with nine home runs and 47 RBIs. Tim Harper has a team-leading 13 home runs.
