IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Kentucky men’s golf team is in fourth place after the second round at the Intercollegiate Jack Moyers Cup. The UK golfers combined to fire a two-round total of 591, trailing first-place Wisconsin by only eight strokes.
Jeremy Langley leads the UK men, standing in third place after shooting a 143 for the opening two rounds. Wes Furnish is five shots behind Langley at 148, and is currently tied for 17th. Other UK golfers competing Saturday were Chris Mueller, tied for 21st at 149, Ryan Rieckhoff, at 152 and tied for 33rd, and Ron Layman, who fired a 153 and is tied for 42nd.
The 12-team tournament concludes Sunday, with the final round scheduled for 8 a.m. at the Finkbine Golf Course.
